Oprah wrote, “My body was turning on me. I am mad and embarrassed for allowing my weight to balloon to 200 pounds. I fear that the crucial component in my weight gain is that my metabolism has “slowed down” due to an “erratic thyroid gland function”.”

It is not the body that is turning on you Oprah, it is your fickle friend “Food”. The problem is not the body’s slow metabolism. The problem is the brain’s slow metabolism from knowledge starvation.
